Alameda Power and Telecom
The Placemaking Group (AVISO) has worked closely with Alameda Power & Telecom in support of its entry into the cable-television business. The Placemaking Group managed the selection of the new name; Alameda Power & Telecom. It developed a new logo and complete identity program. The Placemaking Group created a series of ads to introduce the new identity, and produced brochures and publicity to support the introduction. In essence, a turn-key program was developed for the municipal utility in support of this major undertaking.
Since the introduction of the cable and Internet services, The Placemaking Group has conducted focus groups regarding the cable television and Internet service. It has also designed and implemented a series of special events to brand and promote the service including organizing Alameda Power & Telecom’s participation in the 4th of July Parade and the Park Street Art & Wine Faire which included cable sign-up programs. It worked with Alameda Power & Telecom staff on special public relations situations, creating community-focused advertising and publicity.
