APT

Position: The Placemaking Group (AVISO) has worked closely with Alameda Power & Telecom in support of its entry into the cable-television business. The Placemaking Group managed the selection of the new name; Alameda Power & Telecom. It developed a new logo and complete identity program. The Placemaking Group created a series of ads to introduce the new identity, and produced brochures and publicity to support the introduction. In essence, a turn-key program was developed for the municipal utility in support of this major undertaking.

Communicate: Since the introduction of the cable and Internet services, The Placemaking Group has conducted focus groups regarding the cable television and Internet service. It has also designed and implemented a series of special events to brand and promote the service including organizing Alameda Power & Telecom’s participation in the 4th of July Parade and the Park Street Art & Wine Faire which included cable sign-up programs. It worked with Alameda Power & Telecom staff on special public relations situations, creating community-focused advertising and publicity.
