Placemaking Group Adds More Land Use and Destination Clients To Its Growing Roster
OAKLAND, Calif., November 28, 2007 — Placemaking Group, a San Francisco Bay Area PR, Web and marketing communications firm, known for its capabilities for building brands, marketing destinations and influencing customer behavior announces the addition of three new projects in the land use and destination marketing sectors: strategic planning for the historic city of Benicia, CA in southern Solano county; community outreach for 800 Center LLC, an Oakland, CA property slated for development of eight single-family, market-rate homes; and creating marketing materials and a Web site for two new buildings in Shorenstein’s Oakland City Center.
“Working with cities and destinations allows us to use all of our capabilities—from PR and marketing to event coordination and web site design and development. We look forward to working on these exciting new projects,” says Dennis Erokan, president of Placemaking Group.
Looking to boost visitor traffic and to more fully develop its existing tourism assets and infrastructure, the city of Benicia, CA has retained Placemaking Group to create a tourism brand identity and marketing program. The historic waterside city with a thriving industrial park is located 35 miles northeast of San Francisco and is currently known primarily for its small-town charm, artistic community and dozens of historic sites. http://www.ci.benicia.ca.us.
