Barbara Irias is a born leader, with an undeniable skill for listening, learning and doing. She thrives on building teams who build great communication programs. In terms of tactical skills, she is highly adept at strategic planning, brand identity development, account implementation and client services (just ask any of her clients).
Barbara’s experience in marketing communications includes new product introductions, public relations programs, national advertising campaigns, trade-show participation, events, direct mail, e-marketing, collateral and Web site development. She thrives on putting together a fully integrated program that creates results.
Her agency experience includes account management for Napa Downtown Association, City of Fairfield, Guam Visitors Bureau, Alameda Power & Telecom, Marina Village, The Waterfront at Harbor Bay, Northloop Center, Neopost, and Alameda Hospital.
As vice president of Placemaking Group, she is also responsible for overseeing administrative and technology functions. She loves to learn about new technologies and is usually the first to have the latest gadget. Her desire to be on the forefront of information technology has helped the agency to be able to provide services such as podcasting, email marketing, and online advertising programs with ROI tracking mechanisms.
She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration with a minor in corporate communications from California State University, East Bay. She has recently completed courses in podcasting, Google online advertising, and the Edward Tuffe Visual Information seminar.
